Helping Best Friend Rodent Rescue

Best Friend Rodent Rescue is a private Non-Profit Organization working on becoming 501(c)3 that depends on public support and funding to continue rescuing small animals in need, and to provide education and support to the public. While we collect adoption fees for each animal adopted out from our rescue, those funds do not even begin to cover the cost of habitats, food, bedding, toys, medical care, marketing and other costs for the hundreds of animals that come through our rescue program each year.

Would you like to be part of a great cause? BFRR is looking for caring volunteers to help with the care of the animals currently housed at our in home rescue. We need people to help feed and water the rats, guinea pigs, rabbits and mice and to help clean cages and accessories and to interact and play with the rats. If you are interested,  please let us know. We would love your help to keep our ratties healthy and happy!!

Donate Supplies to Best Friend Rodent Rescue

Would you like to donate supplies to help the animals being housed at our rescue locations? Your gently used, no longer needed pet supplies can be put to good use enriching the lives of our foster and in shelter animals while they wait for adoption. We are constantly in need of:

  • Carefresh Bedding/Recycled paper pellet litter
  • Large running wheels of any kind. 
  • Rat Hammocks
  • Water Bottles
  • Heavy Ceramic or Metal Food Bowls in All Sizes
  • Fleece blankets and material
  • Gently used bath towels and other absorbent fabrics in larger sizes.
  • Small animal carriers 
  • Chew Toys
  • Harlan Teklad Lab Blocks for Rats and Mice
