We are a home based Non-Profit Rat/Small animal Rescue located in Kenmore, WA working on becoming 501 (C)(3)*. Founded by myself, Joanne Gemmer with the love and support of my family. We have been rescuing and caring for rats since 2001! Rats have taken over our hearts and our home and since May 2010, we have been rescuing ratties in need and finding them their new forever homes! Quite simply put, we love rats and have found that with the growing number of people discovering the joys of rattie ownership, there is also a growing number of ratties finding themselves homeless and in need of new forever homes. We would like to help the world see what truly terrific pets and friends rats make. If you already know what wonderful friends pet rats make, we are here for you too! We do also on occasion take in and have available for adoption other small animals such as mice and guinea pigs etc.

*Please note that the Rescue is currently in the process of applying for, but has not yet received, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service. While we hope that the Rescue will be granted tax-exempt status, we cannot guarantee approval of the application. In the event that we are not granted tax exempt status for any reason, donations made during the pendency of the application process will not be tax deductible.
